In 2023 we booked a Danube Cruise via Gate 1 from Budapest to Regensburg.  At that time I was hard to find real reviews of the food, the menus and other information since Gate 1 is a small player.  This post contains photos of the daily menus, plus a pdf of the daily programs.  We enjoyed the cruise, there were about 160 people on the ship, meals were good and the crew provided good service.

We were very happy that we upgraded to a room with a French door that allowed us to open our door and look out at the country side.  We like to go to local stores, including the large global stores like Lidl and Aldi and pickup drinks to enjoy before meals.  Sitting in front of the French doors with our drink was great.

Wine was included with dinner.  That was a good experience but it was surprising they took no effort to match the wine to the region.  I assume they could have served Hungarian, Slovakian, Austrian and German wines within the same price range of the European wines they offered.
