Stelae at Macanxoc Group, Cobá
Here is the stelae at the beginning of the path around the Macanxoc Group. Unfortunately, as this photo shows for the untrained eye it is very hard to make out the hieroglyphs.
Riding your bike to these ruins and walking into them it is very interesting and shows how undeveloped the site is. There clearly are small pyramids and such that now look like just a small compact hill. Its hard to believe that they can actually take such a overgrown mound of trees and rock and piece back together a pyramid with artwork above arches!
