Iao Needle 1
The Iao Needle was formed where two valleys joined. We found that it looks much better in the photographs is it is really quite small. The short path to the viewing area was only a few steps, we were expecting a real trail.
On Hawaii much of the land is privately owned. Including the valley above Iao Needle. I find this interesting as various people must own huge tracks of pristine land which they do not develop. This adds to the nice natural landscape.
